Three weeks ago, the saturday before the 18th of september, my friends and I went to celebrate my friend's birthday to Viña del Mar. It was his 32th birthday and we were all exited to see each other because we now live in different parts of Chile. We all meet at highschool, back in Puerto Montt, and have been friends ever since. The ones from Santiago, including me, left the capital and went to viña at around 4pm, by the afternoon we were all there on the roof top of my friend's building seeing the sunset.
Once the sun was down we start bringing up the instruments my friend and his brother have in the house. Another guy brought his base, and we took out a drumset and two guitars.
They let us play until around 12 o'clock, when the neighbours start complaining about the noise, but it gave us plenty of time to stay up in the roof, and by that time a lot of people had arrived to see my friend, all of them bringing beers and other stuff to live up the party.
After we were thrown out the building, we took a bus and went to Valparaiso, to a pub/disco called "proa", it was at the end of the port area, located inside a big old house. The club had two floors, plus the bar on the ground floor. In the first floor they put classic latin music, things like cumbia, pachanga or salsa. The public was but a bit older than us but everybody seemed to be having a great time. On the second floor there was another Dj and this one mixed thing a little bit more that the one downstairs. The music on this floor was more modern, with a bit of reggae, dancehall, hip hop, and wherever was on the Dj's mind at that moment.
After five they turned the lights on and told everybody that there was a place next door where we could all go to continue dancing for just 500 pesos and until 9 am.
Me and a friend went to the other place, it was just as great as the first one, and we all had a great night.
